Personal Coaching
An affordable, accessible and effective way to build positive driving habits.
Targeted coaching when it matters.
One-to-one support
Personal Coaching sessions are an environmentally friendly way of supporting drivers who have been involved in a crash, have points on their licence or speeding fines, or receive frequent telematics alerts.
Expert coaching
Delivered on a one-to-one basis via telephone or online conferencing, our DriverMetrics® accredited coaches develop a tailored approach for each driver, based on their DriverRiskIndex™ results.
Our coaches encourage drivers to understand and recognise risky behaviours and influence the way they think and feel about these.
Honest reflection
In an open and honest coaching conversation, our coaches discuss situations where certain behaviours have been triggered.
This allows the driver to self-reflect on their behaviour and provides a basis for goals to be agreed over a 3-4 week period. A follow-up session reinforces behavioural changes for safer driving over the longer term.
Personal coaching in three simple steps.
How does personal coaching work?
-
The driver completes the DriverRiskIndex™. The resulting report and other available data is reviewed by our DriverMetrics® coach.
-
Our coach and the driver have an in-depth coaching conversation. Behaviour change techniques are used to influence driver behaviour leading to agreed behavioural goals. A summary is sent to the driver and a follow-up session is scheduled.
-
In the follow-up session, progress is reviewed and longer-term goals are agreed. A summary report is sent to the employer, documenting that the identified risks have been mitigated.
“The personal coach worked with me to look at ways of doing some aspects differently and opened my eyes to where I have been going wrong and gave me good pointers to help keep me and my driving on track. She had good knowledge of the type of vehicle I drove and listened to my points and we had good discussions on matters.”
“Refreshingly open check on my driving that was both helpful and constructive. The trainer listened carefully to my incident account and was able to pinpoint issues for correction and ongoing monitoring. It was an exceptionally useful piece of coaching with an excellent trainer. If there was an option to do more of the same I’d have no hesitation in putting my name forward.”
